Do or Do Not. There is No Try

There are a lot of really awesome things about this time of year. In addition to all of the marvelous holiday happenings in and around Cape May, warming and robust dark brews, and those neighbors who go cheerfully bonkers with their lights and decorations... we’re quickly growing accustomed to perennially enjoying a new Star Wars movie.

There’s something you should know about us, and it’s pretty well summed up in five simple words:

We friggin’ love Star Wars

Often times, because the brewery startup process is kinda like The Force... a little mystified, folks ask us what it takes to make it a reality. We certainly did our research before beginning, but we learn something new with each saber thrust forward. Now, just as it was at Episode I of our saga, a piece of advice we received as younglings has survived and continues to ring true.

That insight? To persevere. That the difference between those who do and those who don’t is the grit to stay focused–even when the window for victory looks smaller than the womp rats we used to bullseye in our T-16’s back home.

When we’re not coercing ourselves to remain steadfast, we’re looking to unwind. Becoming bogged down by all of the data work is really easy to do–in fact, it’s a trap! And to do so, we homebrew. Whether a pilot batch is as dark and sinister as the heart of a Sith Lord or as bright and piercing as Tatooine's twin suns,

we train with Gusto. Because in our experience, there is no such thing as luck.

So, in short, actually brewing the stuff is far more therapeutic than doing the paperwork to brew the stuff. The process in its entirety is not unlike trying to

score tickets to this Friday’s The Last Jedi premiere…

do or do not, there is no try.
